Experience
Individual experience is a focus area for Women Lead. Creating a space for diverse perspectives that promote generational change and the reduction of harm, which builds on critical thinking. To re-view through experience and create foundations for change. Research and knowledge gaps are explored which are valid to experience. We promote outcomes of successful change for ourselves and other women.
Recommendations for change when re-viewing a woman’s journey experience of harm, recovery, and healing is explored and improved service interventions are promoted which reduce barriers to support, engagement and encourage success for women and their children. Women Lead recognise shared experiences have similarities but also differences.
Learning
Experiences create the foundations for learning. This learning is relevant for individual, community and workforce gains. Led from women’s experience and knowledge, motivated for change and improvement, we aim to co design and coproduce.
Learning that encourages listening, reflection, and a recognition to ask questions and to challenge. Informing change through personal and professional development. Promoting education and learning that recognises there are many ways to learn.
Our staff and volunteers receive training and updates that inform our work for women, families, communities and services. Research is valid to experience to recognise, evaluate and celebrate successes.
Change
Women leading individual, generational and system change through experience and reflection for improved outcomes. We aim to make changes in systems that improve generational trust and engagement. Independence and ownership for individual change and listening to perspectives which provide insight to co create generational change.
To advocate for individuals who have generational trauma caused through the experience of harm and abuse and to make recommendations and promote improved outcomes.
Women lead aim to provide spaces for women to create, explore, socialise and lead change in their own lives. We aim to plan, facilitate and coordinate core pilot projects which reflect experience and a timely issue. This provides a platform of research, awareness and change. Sharing resource and changing a system which fails to recognise the interconnection of contributing factors which make for complex cases to ensure improved outcomes.
Making change and informing service is difficult but Women lead allows women to lead on change for themselves, their families, communities and services to partnership for improved outcomes and integration.
Collaboration
Through collaboration we improve engagement, reduce barriers, and increase partnerships. Improve relationships and generational trust between individuals, communities, and services leading to improved outcomes.
Building on individual independence for change, the visibility of services and resource is needed to improve self-help, signposting, referrals and partnership working.
Sharing knowledge gaps and perspectives that allow for sustainable wider system change through shared experiences that promote an increase in coproduction.
Women lead collaborate with local and national service providers to increase learning and shared resource that contribute to reducing barriers to women leading change. We also celebrate success.
